Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up & drive to Volcanoes National Park for golden monkey safari
A delicious breakfast be had at the hotel in Kigali and after, head off on a 2-3 hours’ drive to Volcanoes NP located in Ruhengeri. This park is home to both golden monkeys and mountain gorillas, lying suitably in the Northwestern part of Rwanda.

Day 2: Golden monkey tracking & drive to Bwindi
Enjoy a hefty breakfast and after, set off for morning briefing about golden monkey tracking guidelines. You will be allocated a park guide to accompany you on a search for golden monkeys in Volcanoes National Park Ruhengeri. This primate adventure runs for 2-5 hours which includes a maximum of 1 hour for you to observe the daily behaviors of these primates and taking pictures. After, you will get back and check out then transfer to Bwindi, Southwestern Uganda.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking adventure in Buhoma region & Batwa community visit
Rise early and you will proceed to Buhoma region where your trek will begin from with briefing about guidelines/rules and regulations. You will exit Buhoma for actual foot walk through the rainforest and valleys in search for gorilla family allocated to you. An hour will be given for you to enjoy a face-to-face encounter with mountain gorillas and after, begin getting back. In the evening, set off to explore the diverse traditions, cultures and also get entertained by the Batwa pygmies in their community.

Day 4: Bwindi –Entebbe (by air), transfer to Nairobi
Catch up with the morning departure flight at Kihihi airstrip to Entebbe International Airport (KGL). Get at Entebbe early and you will proceed with connecting flight to Nairobi, Kenya.

Day 5: Nairobi to Maasai Mara (Road transfer)
Today, your Kenya driver guide will be present early enough at the hotel in Nairobi where you spent the night. You will be picked up and head off to Maasai Mara National Reserve in Narok County. This reserve spans over 1510sq.km in Southwestern Kenya and is not far from Tanzania border. It is best visited for the Great Migration experience and big 5 game encounter. Following early arrival, enjoy a leisurely lunch and you will have late afternoon game drive through the golden savannas of Maasai Mara Reserve.

Day 6: Full day game viewing with a guide in Maasai Mara Reserve
Today, a full day will be dedicated to you to unearth the wonders of Maasai Mara National Reserve with an experienced guide. You will keep eyes on the great migration (provided it is right season) and plenty of the big five game (elephants, lions, buffaloes, leopards and rhinos) plus antelopes. The entire day wildlife excursion includes picnic lunch and you return late in the evening to chill at the lodge.
