The 3 days Uganda gorilla habituation tour from Kigali takes you through ultimate guided mountain gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This primate adventure involves exploring a semi-habituated gorilla family in Rushaga sector, one of the Southern sectors in Bwindi.
Rushaga is where the highest concentration of gorilla families in Bwindi are found including Bweza, Kutu, Mucunguzi, Nshongi, Mishaya, Kahungye, Rwigi, Busingye and others. On gorilla habituation experience, you have a maximum of four (4) hours to enjoy with mountain gorillas unlike 1 hour while on normal trekking expedition.
The entire process of gorilla habituation involves observing more on how these primates behave and initiating them to get used to human presence before officially they are opened for actual gorilla trekking experience. Your journey begins and ends in Kigali.

Day 1: Leave Kigali for Bwindi (after city tour)
Early in the morning meet our safari guide for a short briefing about your trip and later, set off from the hotel in Kigali. Enjoy a short city tour, a remarkable expedition that introduces you to the iconic sites of Kigali capital including Kigali genocide memorial, Inema art centre and nearby local markets where you can get some fresh fruits.
After the city tour, you will begin your road trip to Bwindi 4-5 hours’ drive in a 4×4 drive vehicle. This includes crossing via Cyanika border to Kisoro to Rushaga region where you will check in at the pre-booked safari lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla habituation (Rushaga)
Following early morning breakfast, move to Rushaga for briefing about gorilla habituation safety measures/guidelines. Meet the park official who also will allocate you the park expert to accompany you on your actual gorilla habituation adventure.
Set off from Rushaga on a long day search for semi-habituated gorilla group in Rushaga and you have 4 hours guaranteed for observing daily behaviors of these apes, and taking pictures. Today’s adventure also includes a bush lunch in the jungles of Bwindi and you proceed with your adventure.
You will return to the lodge later in afternoon and have a leisurely dinner, then retire for the night at your respective lodges.

Day 3: Departure
After breakfast, your safari guide will be present to ensure all your belongings are packed and later you will begin driving back to Kigali. Arrive early to Kigali, connect to the airport for departure or remain at the hotel.
